The Backyard Bugs Club!

Go exploring, Junior Hero...

Welcome to the Backyard Bugs Club!
Do you know what lives in your backyard?

You will be amazed at the different animals, the bugs, beetles, lizards, frogs, moths, butterflies and many other fascinating insects that live in your garden.

You need to be quiet and move slowly, taking the time to look carefully at every plant, stick, bush, fence post and pot plant. Many animals have amazing camouflage to help them hide so that they do not fall prey to birds flying over head.

Spend some time in your yard to see how many different things you can see.  Early morning or late afternoon are the best time to see many insects.
How many can you find?

You might like to draw a picture of what it looks like so that you can try and identify it later, or you might like to take a picture and send it to us to share with other Junior Heroes here on the Backyard Bugs Club page!
