Garden GeckosAmazing creatures! This tiny marbled gecko came and spent some time at Wild Days Wildlife shelter, a little under weight and a little lost. Now in good health, back to the wild to catch a few bugs and play in the leaf litter.
The amazing thing is, how it would change colour and pattern depending on which enclosure it was in or whether it had light or dark coloured leaf litter. The change would only take a couple of minutes, from almost transparent pale grey to a dark chocolate brown. No wonder they can survive with such amazing camouflage skills!! |
